Venue: Carnegie Museums
Friday, February 12 - Sunday, February 14, 2010
Tickets: $60 (includes dessert reception)

Romance, Art and Opera followed by wine and dessert!

A verismo Valentine: bring your Valentine to a passionate tale of magical medieval romance! The Love Spell (L’Incantesimo), was written by verismo master Italo Montemezzi for the NBC Symphony Orchestra and had its radio broadcast premiere in 1943. Lush, rhapsodic late-romantic music accompanies the story of a mystical love triangle: a harsh nobleman stabs a white hind in the forest and finds that he has wounded his wife; only her former lover can bring her back to life and turn the wintry forest into spring. See this production performed amidst the classical splendor of the Carnegie Museum of Art’s Hall of Sculpture.

Our Valentine to You: After the performance, join the company for wine and delectable desserts in the magnificent Hall of Architecture.

Come Early! Carnegie Museum of Art will open its tapestry exhibition Gods, Love, and War in the Heinz Galleries to The Love Spell ticket buyers for a private showing beginning at 7 pm, one hour prior to performances.
